Yellow Birch
Betula Iutea. With its off white to light tan sapwood and golden brown heartwood, yellow birch grows across the Northern and northern Appalachian region. It represents less than 5% of the timber stand and lumber production. Birch is hard, strong, and heavy. It is a close-grained wood with an indistinct grain pattern. The specie works well; it is easy to paint, stain, and finish.
Yellow Birch lumber is regularly sold in the rough cut form. It can also be surfaced, (S2S), upon request. Yellow Birch can also be provided to customers as SLR2E if desired.
Use:
Furniture, cabinets, flooring, interior trim, architectural woodwork.

Generally available in 4/4 and 5/4, limited availability in 6/4 and thicker. Color selected stock limited in availability.
