Change at the St. James Concentration Yard

One thing about the hardwood lumber industry is that it is constantly changing.  If it’s not hardwood species falling in and out of favor with architects and designers, it is the different markets we serve or new products being developed.  One change we are always excited about is the opportunity to introduce a new person into an important role within the company.

Recently, Molly Harr, who is was the office manager at our St. James concentration yard in Galion, Ohio, accepted the role of hardwood lumber inventory manager starting in the beginning of 2018.molly kevin 2017 IMG 4119

Ms. Harr started with Baillie Lumber Co. in the spring of 2015.  Her first role was as an office assistant and within twelve months she became the primary office manager for the facility.

“Molly is a really great people person. She has a tremendous work ethic and a desire to learn as much as possible about the hardwood lumber industry”, said Kevin Knepp, assistant manager.

As part of her responsibilities Ms. Harr will be identifying inventory available for sale, projecting lumber ready dates and assisting lumber traders fulfill customer requests.

Ms. Harr will be taking over the responsibility currently held by Mr. Knepp who is in training to lead the St. James facility as the yard manager beginning in January.

We are excited to have both Molly and Kevin as part of the Baillie family.
