New Technology Leader Joins Baillie Lumber

Baillie Lumber welcomes Gary Braunscheidel as the new leader of our Information Technology team.

garybPrior to joining Baillie Lumber Mr. Braunscheidel worked for HSBC Bank and was instrumental in developing quality IT processes for their customer activity monitoring program. During his tenure at HSBC he was also involved with portfolio management, agile development methodology, testing automation, release management, and accountable for certain application production support for the company.

“We are excited to have Gary join the Baillie Lumber team,” said Sam Costa, head of systems and accounting. “In this new role, we will rely on Gary to develop an IT strategy that is forward thinking and in alignment with our overall business strategy and initiatives.”

“Joining Baillie at this point in time is a great opportunity,” said Mr. Braunscheidel. “Baillie has a reputation of leveraging technology to improve the way they do business with their customers and I am looking forward to being part of that going forward.”

A graduate of the University at Buffalo, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Math, Mr. Braunscheidel has held numerous technology and leadership roles over the course his career at companies such as Essendant, Computer Task Group and Azerty, Inc. He was also a founder of Comand Center, a software development company delivering cloud based solutions, a semi-finalist in the 43North startup business competition.

Mr. Braunscheidel will be based in Hamburg, New York.
