Transition in Titusville

After 25 years of service, the longtime Baillie Titusville leader, Dewey Swift, will be calling it a career. Mr. Swift joined the Baillie team in 1991 and has been an instrumental part of the growth and success of the facility.

With his leadership, Baillie has been able to update, improve and grow the Titusville, Pennsylvania hardwood lumber concentration yard into one of the premier facilities in the Baillie network.

During his tenure, the Titusville facility saw a great deal of transformation. Some of the more memorable activities include the installation of a new stacking machine in 1994, a PHL line in 2002, the boiler upgrade in 2006 and currently the installation of a new lumber t-sheds this year. Mr. Swift has also been instrumental in the Titusville yard nearly doubling its production capacity over the past 25 years.

“I will look back fondly on the progress and success we were able to achieve”, said Mr. Swift. “But most of all I will remember all the great people I had the pleasure to work with here at Baillie Lumber.”

Mr. Swift will spend the next few weeks transitioning the leadership duties of the Titusville Yard to Bob Holcomb. Bob has been with Baillie Lumber for over 15 years and has most recently been acting at the assistant yard manager at the same facility.

Dewey Bob IMG 0695“I am excited about the opportunity to follow in Dewey’s footsteps and lead the team into the next chapter of success. We will miss Dewey’s wisdom, advice and professionalism but we all know he’ll always be there for us and only a phone call away” said Mr. Holcomb.

The Baillie Lumber Titusville facility produces some of the finest hardwood lumber in the industry. They specialize in species such as red oak, white oak, cherry, ash and hard maple. For more information on the facility visit the location website here.
